April Seminar at UMBC

The Graduate School at UMBC in partnership with the Career Services Center is sponsoring the annual “Career Paths for Graduate Students” networking dinner seminar on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 4:30 PM in UC 312. Employers will be discussing expectations for hiring, and will share information about alternative careers. This seminar is for students at all levels, master’s and doctoral, including those in their first year of graduate school. It’s never too early to develop a network! Some of our UMBC alumni will be present at this event. This seminar utilizes a “speed dating” format to expose students to different sectors of government, industry, and academe. This seminar is part of our “Pathways Through Graduate School and Into Careers” initiative, based on the 2012 report by the Council of Graduate Schools.  *All guest representatives have job openings available.*
Please RSVP here so that we can order enough food: http://my.umbc.edu/groups/promise/events/16894
Dinner will be served.  Time: 4:30 – 6:00 (program and dinner), 6:00 – 6:30 (additional networking). This event is free!
