  5. Dr. Hirshman,

Thank you for all your support of PROMISE, for coming to speak with us in Success Seminars, for supporting Dissertation House, Prof-iT and the Summer Success Institute. All these programs have been key in development as a professional and as a researcher and they have kept me motivated when I questioned my decision to return to graduate school 15 years after I had completed my undergraduate degree. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

  6. I didn’t get the pleasure to meet you in person during your time at UMBC but I had the great opportunity to take part of numerous PROMISE events and activities. I thank you for having been such an important pillar in the growth of the PROMISE Program. You will be missed. As you start your journey as President of San Diego State University, I rest assured that you know you are being wished from all of us the very best each step along the way. Best wishes and Good Luck!

  15. Thank you for all your support of PROMISE! Good luck in your future endeavors.

  16. Dr. Hirshman,

It was a pleasure to be a UMBC student and PROMISE Peer Mentor during your tenure as Provost at UMBC. Without your support, the many services that PROMISE offers may have led to a decrease in the community and success for which UMBC is famous! So thank you for upholding and enhancing the PROMISE that UMBC makes to so many of us!
